Timothy LeFevour
Tim LeFevour, a native Chicagoan, has spent the past thirty-six (36) years in Chicago’s professional sports and entertainment industry. Currently, Tim is SMG’s General Manager at Soldier Field where he oversees all aspects of the historic stadiums operation (15 years).
Soldier Field is home to the Chicago Bears, numerous concerts, soccer matches, the Chicago Football Classic and college football games. Tim and his staff have hosted the Grateful Dead Farewell Tour, U2, the Rolling Stones, Eagles, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney to name a few and Tim and his staff have had an opportunity to work with college football power houses – Notre Dame, Miami, Northwestern, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois. In 2012 Soldier Field was host to the NATO World Leaders Dinner where President Barack Obama hosted twenty eight world leaders and in 2013 Soldier Field hosted the NHL Stadium Series outdoor game featuring the Chicago Blackhawks and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Tim has also served as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Chicago Motor Speedway(4 years) and the Director of Administration for the Chicago Bears Football Club (17 years). During his career, Tim served as the cities project manager for a $680 million renovation of Soldier Field and oversaw the development of the Chicago Bears’ training complex. In addition, Tim has been a consultant to the NFL for the past twenty-six (26) Super Bowls.
Hard work and dedication pay off as Tim was a member of the Chicago Bears 1985 Super Bowl Championship team and was awarded a Championship Ring.
Over the past twenty years Tim’s work schedule has remained hectic with his Soldier Fieldresponsibilities but Tim finds time to enjoy his past time playing the bagpipes with the ShannonRovers Irish Bagpipe Band. Throughout his twenty years of entertaining Chicagoans or piping in front of dignitaries there has been no greater honor than representing the City of Chicago when he was asked to perform for President Obama and his guests at the White House.
Tim believes in Chicago and has served on the Board of the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund, the Young Irish Fellowship Club, the Irish Children’s Fund and Bears Care. He currently serves on the Board of Special Children’s Charities – Special Olympics, the Chicago Police Memorial Fund Board and the Chicago Sports Commission.
Tim has been a part of the ownership group of McCarthy Ford since its inception.
Tim married his wife, Alexis, this past year. Tim has four children...Megan, Matt, Kate and Amy andfive grandchildren...Gavin, Braden, Audrey, Olivia and Nora.
