Profile

Melissa leads the External Affairs and Large Customer Service organization in continuing to build strong relationships with municipalities and communities, as well as large customers. Before returning to ComEd and taking the role as vice president of External Affairs and Large Customer Services, Melissa served as the Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Exelon Corporation, where she oversaw the day-to-day outreach in Washington, D.C. for the successful merger between Exelon & Pepco Holdings Incorporated. Her responsibilities included outreach to the District of Columbia Mayor, Councilmembers, businesses, non-profit community and other key constituents.

Professional History

Melissa joined ComEd in 2003. She has held a number of roles of increasing responsibility for ComEd and Exelon throughout her tenure. Prior to becoming a Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Exelon, she served as Vice President of Regulatory Policy and Strategy for ComEd, where shemanaged the utility’s relationships with the Illinois Commerce Commission and its staff, as well as other regulatory bodies. Additionally, Melissa was responsible for managing retail rates, revenuepolicy, ComEd’s ICC dockets, development and implementation of ComEd’s pricing policy, and analysis of strategic policy options for ComEd’s distribution business.

Prior to joining ComEd’s regulatory team, she was the Director of Investor Relations for Exelon. Inthat role, she was responsible for developing compelling messaging to convey Exelon’s valueproposition, strategies, financial results and current and future financial, operational and regulatory performance drivers to the financial community. Melissa communicated with investors and members of the financial community on a regular basis regarding current issues and events that impacted Exelon and its subsidiaries, as well as the broader industry. Previous roles included: TaxManager, ComEd and Exelon Generation and Chief of Staff to Exelon’s Executive Vice Presidentof Finance and Legal.

Prior to joining Exelon, Melissa was a manager in Deloitte & Touche’s Comprehensive TaxSolution Consulting practice. Melissa also spent several years at Arthur Andersen providing tax consultation services to clients in various industries including, manufacturing, transportation, pharmaceutical, consumer products and financial services.
